Newtown: The Parish of St Paul's

A virtual historic Cardiff Community

An account of a community now physically destroyed but remembered by many. A memorial garden has been designed and will be erected in the area formerly known as "Newtown: Little Ireland" We are also interested in recording the history of this unique community in words and in pictures. Perhaps you have a photograph, family history or a story you would like to contribute and have included on these pages. If so we would love to hear from you, contact us

Welcome

....Whoever you are, whatever you sing

And whatever the thing you're known for

Come whenever you wish, take what you see

And once come, stay as long as you like

[Dafydd Bach ap Madog Wladaidd-Sypyn Cyfeiliog'(fl.1340-1390][trans.Joseph P Clancy)
